The Marathon event will be staged at Bagamoyo Town mainly due to its calmness, low traffic, historic and tourist value. Bagamoyo Town is has the rich context of Tanzania History extending from Slavery Age in which it is worthy to be well exposed to the Country and beyond and from generation to generations.
Furthermore, Bagamoyo will in the future be amongst the economic hubs of Tanzania due to the anticipated construction of Port and Industries under Export Processing Zone Authority (EPZA) therefore it is important to expose these potentials through sports.
