Burry My Heart Lantern Ceremony: Designed to be an annual celebration of memorial to honour the victims of slavery from across Tanzania. The lighting of lantern in the evening of Saturday prior the marathon event by sunrise redefined our history and give Tanzanians a spiritual chance to honour their an ancestors who took their hard sail and prayed for their heart to burry which resulted to the name Bagamoyo ‘Burry-my-heart’ or ‘bwaga-moyo’ in Swahili. Bagamoyo is know to be amongst UNESCO world heritage sites for its historical slavery phenomenon.
Bagamoyo Music Night: A live concert to enjoy the night in Bagamoyo filled with mixed vibes from various artists from across the country. This event takes place at TASUBA amphitheatre located at the shores of Indian ocean.
